Elwyn ~ The Elven archer

Never would have thought I would really buy Kotobukiya Elwyn, saw on my wish list but wasn’t really a must get at the time. Her looks kinda grows on me though, especially when I was holding and seeing one close-up but still manage to control myself from buying her.
But when Hobby Search put her into bargain, I can’t help getting her, 1 she’s was cheap, 2 she’s a nice figure, a dangerous combination XD. Speaking of bargain figures, manage to grab a few more recently, 1 have arrived but with my friend. The other 2 just shipped from HLJ, and one of them is Danny Choo’s favourite figure XD, both at 60% discount ^_^.
This version Elwyn is from the Shining Wind series, not really sure what’s the difference between Shining Wind and Shining Tears Elwyn though. I really like the pose and sculpt of this one, very moe look <3. She comes with a plain green base and her bow, guess Kotobukiya want to make a standard base for this series since my Blanc Neige base looks the same as well.
Pretty good details on the wing on her head and her costume.
Her face, one of her feature that I am attracted to.

Don’t really plan to collect the whole Shining Wind series, I am not much of a set collector anyway, but Blanc Neige and Elwyn does looks good though. Kureha is another one of Shining Wind character that I like, but since I already have the Max Factory version, which I think it’s the best looking one, don’t plan to add another one to my collection.

Damn you got her for cheap lol. I got her when she was first released, and did a photoshoot for her back in July.
Elwing in Tears and Wind only looks slightly different, and looks slightly better in Wind.
Elwyn! Like you, it wasn’t a must get for me, but I really like this figure. Hope to get her soon. Your photos are great!

Definitely a dangerous combination that is. Elwyn is indeed a very nice figure, currently my favorite art style of anime figures is the one of Shunya and Tony Taka, simply beautiful.
What I think most on line shops are missing is a mail system which you can choose which type of information you want to receive, like if we want to know which figures are on sale we should receive an email with the stuff on sale instead of searching the website itself. Currently I only get hobbysearch emails telling me which figures will be available or have been restocked but since I buy everything at my friends shop I see no need for me now

@Belela-san~Yeah sales + nice figure = dangerous combo. I have to check their sales page once in a while just to know if anything good is there but there are times when I miss out on good stuff though.

Wow 60% discount. This is more than just a great deal!
This figure hasn’t caught my attention, but the details are better than I have expected as people often complain how Kotobukiya’s figures have slightly lower quality than the other competitors.

@Q~yeah extremely great deal. Kotobukiya figures is well decent and cheaper, but they lose to GSC, MF and Alter in colors and details. Still Kotobukiya is good for set collectors, since they tends to release whole series
What i love with this one is the green colors scheme ^^
I guess it helps having green as favorite color ^^
Hopefully i didn’t see her in the bargain , this way i won’t buy her and use more money that i should ^^
But it’s tempting :p
I prefer to wait for Max Factory version someday …
