Bamboo blade is another anime that I just watch recently, yeah I am a bit slow in catching up to the latest anime due to my preference in watching them only when they are completed xD. After seeing Tama-chan in the anime I just can’t resist in getting her, and I find Kotobukiya version to be the better representation of her, minus those resin/pre-painted resin at e2046 of course ^^.
Tama-chan is dressed in her protective armor with her shinai and head gear in each arm. Unfortunately she’s screwed to the base, even though it’s possible to remove the screws, the peg is under her foot and not on the base, so she can’t stand without her base. Her base is made to look like wooden floor, but didn’t really work though since it’s still look too plastic.
Tama-chan name on her protective armour, pretty good detail on the armour and head gear.
She does looks like this in the anime xD.
Overall a decently made figure from Kotobukiya, not much complain on it except for the obvious seam lines on both her arms. The paint job looks good too.
Was kinda trying to make the setting to look like a dojo, but I don’t really have necessary stuff to do that. A 1/6 katana and sort of potted plant to make it less plain xD.

walao, background with sword stand…where get de…
Cute figure. I like all the gear she’s wearing.
Sorry but you made me laugh with the plant , looks like it’s here just because it wanted too ^^
Anyway , nice pics , i like this one but i don’t buy her , and i don’t even know why ^^
I kinda find her face doesn’t look like that in the anime. It looks slightly off. Maybe I’m just use to the moeness. xD
Nice shoot. I gave her a missed because of my reason but if I ever find her in white ver. then I might consider it. ^^
Once again an anime i didnt watch yet^^
The only complain i have is the look in her eyes. But maybe its dead accurate to her anime counterpart.
You did a good job with the pics.
The 1/6 Katana…Has it some purpose?Like a letter opnener?
One of the few figures that is almost a perfect replica of the character itself. The quality is good but you can see perfectly the plastic from the second last picture XD that’s the power of the lens that shows everything
Bamboo Blade is one of those anime/manga where I prefer the manga design, or the one whe see in the anime’s eye-catch. And I think this figure looks more like those artworks, so I like it ^^
4th and 5th shots look great!
I know nothing of Bamboo Blade, but it surely looks good for a Kotobukiya figure. The armour and the helmet are well sculpted with good details, but it’s a pity to hear the figure can’t stand by itself without the base.
Got my Max Factory Shana not long ago, but I can’t fit the sword through the right hand (along with some minor problems and scratches)! What should I do?
@makie~it’s from those trading sword set ^^
@super rats~yeah she’s cute and the armor looks good too
@James~haha yeah the plant does looks funny in there xD, thanks
@Optic~I find the face ok though, I would prefer the moe look one, but that’s only available as a GK
@Blowfish~you should watch it, it’s pretty good ^^. Yeah her eyes does looks like that in the anime. Thanks ^^. The katana are just for display haha
@Belela-san~yes agree ^^. haha that was shot using a macro lens
@lu-k~Have nvr read the manga though, so not sure how much the character design differ. Thanks ^^
@Q~Yeah Kotobukiya do release some good stuff and they are cheaper than the other bigger company too. I didn’t have problem with my Shana though, well the sword does takes a bit of work to fit it in, scratches hmm probably manufacturing problem I guess. try the tips below for Shana sword
Hi dude.. my blog down for almost one week.. miss me? XD

cute Tama ^^
I wondered about getting this for my brother, since he does Kendo, but don’t think he’s that much of an anime nut, though I think he does watch some. Maybe I should suggest he watch Bamboo Blade
@suneo~since he’s interested in kendo, yeah he should try watching Bamboo Blade, i think he’ll like it
