I wondered about getting this for my brother, since he does Kendo, but don’t think he’s that much of an anime nut, though I think he does watch some. Maybe I should suggest he watch Bamboo Blade

@Q~Yeah Kotobukiya do release some good stuff and they are cheaper than the other bigger company too. I didn’t have problem with my Shana though, well the sword does takes a bit of work to fit it in, scratches hmm probably manufacturing problem I guess. try the tips below for Shana sword

oh hehe, well it’s been a while but i think this is what I did, put the blade through her hair, and pull the blade from the other side, until you have almost enough clearance to slot the hilt into her hand, her hand is made of softer plastic so you can pull it a little. once the hilt is in, place your finger on the guard (the thing between the blade and the hilt, forgot what its called hehe), and place you thumbs on her hand opposite of your finger and push the guard towards your thumb, this will slot the hilt all the way through her hand. final advice is be patient and don’t rush it, do it slowly and it should be ok

I know nothing of Bamboo Blade, but it surely looks good for a Kotobukiya figure. The armour and the helmet are well sculpted with good details, but it’s a pity to hear the figure can’t stand by itself without the base.

Got my Max Factory Shana not long ago, but I can’t fit the sword through the right hand (along with some minor problems and scratches)! What should I do?

Bamboo Blade is one of those anime/manga where I prefer the manga design, or the one whe see in the anime’s eye-catch. And I think this figure looks more like those artworks, so I like it ^^

4th and 5th shots look great!

One of the few figures that is almost a perfect replica of the character itself. The quality is good but you can see perfectly the plastic from the second last picture XD that’s the power of the lens that shows everything

Once again an anime i didnt watch yet^^

The only complain i have is the look in her eyes.But maybe its dead accurate to her anime counterpart.
You did a good job with the pics.

The 1/6 Katana…Has it some purpose?Like a letter opnener?
