Jigoku Shōjo ~ Enma Ai
Jun 8th, 2008 by valho
If there’s one girl you’ll never want to meet in your life, it’s probably Enma Ai, meeting her would mean either someone have a grudge on you or you have a grudge on someone, either way you’ll still end up in hell.
The anime itself is quite interesting, though the self contained episodes of the first season are quite repetitive and only gets more interesting near the end of the season. Second season is much better with a much more interesting storyline. Well enough on the anime, this post if about the latest figure of Ai-chan release by Alter. There was another Ai figure release a few months back, but I didn’t really like it, I find Alter version to be a better representation of Ai. Though I would have prefer a Kimono version.
Ai is suprisingly small for a 1/8, well she’s sitting down after all, standing she should be around the height of Max Factory 1/8 Shana. She comes with a straw doll and a floor like base, she’s not attached to the base in anyway though.
Accidental pantsu shot xD.
Simple black, straight hair.
Nothing much to say about this figure of Ai, she’s pretty well made in terms of sculpt and painting. She was sculpted by Asano Yuji.

Great pics , i love this fig , getting her this week
With a kimono would have been better, I think too. Not really my type (so you guess now the two others I ordered hehe) and not that much fond of the anime, so I passed this time.
Though, since I also order figures for a friend, who chose this one, I had it between my hand for a short period.
ALTER sure does beautiful figure, even simple-looking ones.
didnt watch the anime, doesnt seems to interest me, but enma ai looks nice…mana curi the paper umbrella, it fit in perfectly…
nice pics~~
I find this figurine is too small, should be nicer if Alter make it as 1/7 or 1/6 ^^
and nice use of small umbrella
Small a bit, but the price is cheaper than most figurines.. so justified..
I still think she looks spooky XD
Don’t want her near me, no way. Although spanking a’lá pedobear would be funny hahahahahaha. The legs are pretty nice and I see some pantsu XD
@James~thanks and great buy ^^
@lu-k~yeah a kimono version would be great. Alter’s making some pretty good stuff lately
@makie~the umbrella handmade one leh, where got curi xD
@ron~yeah I think a 1/7 would be just nice but that would mean higher price though, thanks ^^
@Prim3~yeah small and cheap price ^^, she’s not spooky, she’s kawaiii xD
@Belela-san~haha xD. Yeah the only pantsu shot in the series xD
The umbrella fits in perfectly XD I like the umbrella…
Huhu, of course she’s small. Her real height is about primary school student loh. If become 1/8, of course will be smaller than other 1/8 figure which the character was teen or grown adult
She is creepy. I swear, for some reason, this figure scares me. Still, it’s a nice figure!!!!!
@Serene~thanks, it wasn’t easy to make though
@E_G~yeah correct, she’s about MF Shana size
@Rin~how can you say she’s creppy, she’s so kawaii xDD
Your photographs are great!
I think Alter’s Ai-chan is more childish than CHRONO∞GATE’s that I have.
Enma Ai is cuteeee! :]
@at1987~thanks, yeah I prefer this version to Chrono Gate Enma Ai
@loves~yeah she is
