Mikuru vs Anderson, Hellsing Ultimate Vol. 3
Oct 25th, 2007 by valho
Finally got my Hellsing Ultimate Vol. 3 Limited Edition that was release recently. Was quite surprise to see that it comes with a plaque of Anderson as this was never advertised at Rightstuf. The DVD are store inside a steel case similar to Vol. 2 Limited Edition with Integra Hellsing, Seras and Walter on the cover.
With the recent announcement of Geneon closing their distribution in North America and canceling all DVDs release in NA, I am not sure what’s gonna happen to Vol. 4. I just hope some other company will pick up this title and continue releasing it.
Previous shot of Hellsing Ultimate DVD was with Yuki, this time is Mikuru turn. 2 disc, one for the anime and the other for special features which I have yet to watch :).
Mikuru vs Anderson. Pretty good looking plaque, it can either be hang on a wall or just display on a table. I kept it back in the box after the photoshoot though.
I wonder who will win, Mikuru with her Mikuru Beamu or Anderson with his bayonet. I’ll be rooting for Mikuru of course, she’s too cute to lose XD.
The Wild Geese mercenary team that Hellsing Organization hired.
Anderson, crazy as ever.
Seras and her Harkonnen cannon spirit provide some humor.
I am still contemplating whether to get the manga, even though Hellsing Ultimate does follows the manga more closely but the release are quite far in between. After watching all three volumes in one day, I am pretty much hooked and dying to know what’s gonna happen next.

That plaque is pretty sweet. Damn, maybe I should look for vol. 1 with the Alucard plaque. What’s that link again…kidding ^^;
I read up to volume 6 of the manga and it’s a pretty good read. Some nice extras in the form of director notes, comic relief sections and bonus stories from the Hellsing universe.
I do know the Hellsing Ultimate anime follows the manga to a tee, so you will get to see what happens next if you read the manga.
Maybe it’s not such a bad idea considering the anime is at a stand still atm.
As I’m writing this your telling me you just bought vols. 1-4. A wise decision my weasely friend :p
Nice extras. Gotta love limited editions really, though those tend to bleed you to death in time to come -_-” Oh well, better to regret something you did, then something you didn’t do yeah? XD
@aka_ugly~the plaque was a surprise I didn’t know it comes with one ^^. You definitely should look for volume 1 it’s real sweet with the Alucard plaque, Amazon have it last I checked XD. Hehe yup the manga is really a good read, I have just finish vol. 3
@shino~well there’s a reason I only buy during sales, otherwise I would really bleed to death. Hhaha or better get it now rather than regret no being able to get it later XD
The level of violence as well as the manga-friendly storyline in the Hellsing OVAs are spectacular. A far cry from the poorly-directed story and action sequences of the TV series.
@hangmen~agreed with you on that, I even got the manga so that I can continue reading the story
