MG Strike Noir, Complete
Apr 29th, 2007 by valho
GAT-X105E+AQM/E-X09S Strike Noir is another variation of Strike Gundam that appears in the OVA Mobile Suit Gundam SEED C.E. 73 STARGAZER. The MS belongs to Earth Alliance Phantom Pain and piloted by Sven Cal Bayang. The main difference from Strike Gundam is the lack of a beam saber it instead uses a pair of MR-Q10 “Fragarach” 3 beam blade which are hidden in the wings. The overall build of this kit is good, as usual Bandai quality is always improving. The inclusion of some fixed manipulator to hold the weapons is a nice touch. This is also one of the kit that comes with screws which I haven’t seen for quite sometime. One thing I don’t like is some of the dry transfer are so small that it’s very hard to put it on the MS, so i leave some of the decal out.

Dual guns, M8F-SB1 “Shorty” beam rifle.
Dual swords, MR-Q10 “Fragarach” 3 beam blade.

[...] from this recent slump and have the urge to work on something. You can check out Strike Noir at Valiant’s blog, really sweet kit even if it does have a slight Doraemon look [...]
Nice pics!
I just received my own strike noir mg kit, I wanted to ask if you painted your kit, and if you did what did you use?
congrat on getting strike noir kit, is a nice kit :). Nope mine is not painted, only panel lined
thanks!
it seems that the new MG kits seem to not need to much detailing or painting anymore
yeah newer MG are much better in terms of color and quality, that they looks good even if u just built it as it is. Panel line is still needed though
thanks for the tip. I hope you don’t mind, I’m grabbing some of your pictures for my own study purposes when I start lining mine
what is panel line? tnx planning on buying a 1/60 MG Noir
@veilstyle~welcome
@asuzah~panel line are those deeper grove that you see on the kit
can you upload a picture and what do you usually use to panel a model kits? tnx
@asuzah~click on “Visit my Flickr site for more pictures” below the last pic and look at this photo “MG Strike Noir WIP - full body” you can see some part have what appears to be ink on it. Those are the area that I panel line, I use gundam markers that you can get from hobby shop.
thank u thank u,
i’ve try it on my 1/100 exia but i made some mistake… guess the panel lining is not my thing, I’ll just have to just leave em’ be.
coz i kinda mess my exia
hi,
Nice kit! I see that u applied the decals, and i was wondering, are the decals were hard to put on?
@asuzah~yeah its easy to make a mess sometimes, but usually you can rub it off with ink eraser
@eric~thanks, hmmm the rub on decal is harder to put on, the sticker type is easy.
